Aligned Airdrop Details

Introduction

The Aligned Genesis Drop allocated 8.74% of total ALIGN supply, drawn from a fixed 10 billion total, to the community that has supported crypto, Ethereum, and ZK. At TGE, 44.36% of the airdrop unlocks, equal to about 3.88% of total supply.

The airdrop is split into three components.

Airdrop 1: Community allocation (~6.54% of supply)

The bulk of the drop. How it unlocks depends on the size of your allocation:

• 10,000 tokens or less: 100% unlocked at TGE.
• More than 10,000 tokens: 10,000 tokens at TGE, with the remainder released over a 12-month linear vesting schedule.

Airdrop 2: Distinguished Contributors (2.10% of supply)

Reserved for Wave 4 recipients recognized for outstanding contributions to Ethereum and ZK: Protocol Guild (1.5%), L2BEAT (0.2%), ZachXBT (0.2%), and ZK Podcast (0.2%). Only 2.08% unlocks at TGE, with the rest vesting linearly over 47 months.

ZK Arcade (0.10% of supply)

Fully unlocked at TGE.

Vesting Timeline

The chart below shows the cumulative airdrop unlock month over month. A large share enters circulation at TGE, and the curve then rises gradually as the vesting portions of Airdrop 1 and Airdrop 2 are released, with the schedule extending to month 47 due to Airdrop 2's linear vesting.

Where to claim: Ethereum L1 and Base

To keep claiming both accessible and cost-efficient, allocations are claimed on different networks depending on their size. Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2), which settles to Ethereum while offering much lower transaction fees, whereas Ethereum L1 is the mainnet itself:

• Allocations of 10,000 ALIGN or less claim on Base (L2). These unlock fully at TGE, so routing them to Base keeps gas costs low for the largest group of recipients.
• Allocations above 10,000 ALIGN claim on Ethereum L1. These follow the 10,000-at-TGE plus 12-month linear vesting schedule, and are claimed directly on mainnet.

In short: smaller, fully-unlocked allocations claim on Base; larger, partially-vested allocations claim on Ethereum L1.
