Introducing a New Cryptography & Distributed Systems Research Center, a collaboration between LambdaClass, FIUBA, and Exactas UBA

Research on ZK and Ethereum is already underway, bringing together expertise from academia and the tech industry to strengthen LATAM’s crypto ecosystem.

ZisK achieved real-time proving of Ethereum L1 blocks with version v0.13

Using 24 NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPUs, it proves L1 blocks in ~7.5s. Its distributed system parallelizes proof generation, offering scalable, quantum-resistant, 128-bit security for trustless Ethereum verification.

The Ethereum Foundation launched an Institutional Resource Hub to support business adoption of Ethereum

It highlights use cases in tokenized assets, DeFi, stablecoins, and compliance; highlighting \$5B+ in tokenized assets and \$177B+ in stablecoin TVL.

Fusaka has been successfully activated on the Hoodi testnet

The third and final testnet upgrade before mainnet. The Ethereum mainnet launch is set for Dec 3, 2025. Fusaka adds 12 EIPs improving scalability and UX, led by PeerDAS (EIP-7594) for cheaper, faster L2 transactions.

JPYC Inc. launched JPYC, Japan’s first regulated yen-backed stablecoin

This new stablecoin is being launched on Ethereum, Polygon, and Avalanche. Fully backed by yen deposits and JGBs, JPYC uses Japan’s My Number system via JPYC EX for compliance, targeting ¥10 trillion issuance in 3 years.
