Vitalik Buterin published an article outlining the GKR Protocol
This protocol is behind several proof systems and enables proving large computations without committing to intermediate states.

The Holesky testnet has begun its shutdown process
This testnet has been set to go offline two weeks after the Fusaka upgrade on October 1. Developers are advised to migrate to Sepolia, while staking providers should move to Hoodi. Holesky launched on September 28, 2023.
Holešky degradation will begin this week. The network has served its purpose for Fusaka testing and operators will start shutting down their nodes at various points over the next 10 days.

The Ethereum Foundation’s zkEVM team outlined benchmarking principles for zkVMs to ensure Ethereum’s scalability and security
The goal is to validate ZK-based block proving for real-time performance, using Ethereum-specific workloads, to determine if zkVMs are viable for the Layer 1.

The Ethereum Validators Association (EVA) has been announced
This association was created by the Ethereum Community Foundation and aims to improve validator representation in protocol development. EVA will focus on validator coordination, research, transparency, and governance.
