Giacomo Fenzi and Yuwen Zhang shared new research on compressing hash-based SNARKs.

A new paper from Giacomo Fenzi and Yuwen Zhang demonstrates a post-quantum secure technique to reduce the size of hash-based SNARK proofs by 40%.

As Ethereum moves away from elliptic curve cryptography to post-quantum secure hash-based systems, ongoing research like this helps make these proofs smaller, making verification cheaper and minimizing bandwidth requirements for validators.

Taiko became the first based rollup to implement preconfirmations.

Preconfs give users much faster transaction confirmations to improve UX while still maintaining the properties of being a based rollup.

Fluent launched their testnet.

Fluent's blended VM lets developers build more expressive apps by using EVM, WASM, and SVM smart contracts in the same blended execution environment.

Facet became the 1st general-purpose Stage 2 rollup on L2BEAT.

Facet has a fully functional exit window and users can submit transactions or propose state roots directly to L1 if the sequencer/proposer fails.
