✨ ZK-Newsflash! ✨
We're bringing you industry highlights each week so you can stay aligned with the latest developments in ZK and Ethereum.
Here's what happened from December 18th to 24th, 2025.
The Ethereum Foundation shared an article on upcoming zkEVM Security Targets
The article discusses the ongoing development of zkEVMs, focusing on the transition from performance improvements to ensuring robust security for mainnet deployment. Key challenges include achieving 128-bit provable security, maintaining proof size efficiency, and addressing the risks of unproven mathematical conjectures.

L2BEAT has outlined the Ethereum Interop Layer (EIL) to unify Ethereum's L2 ecosystem for a seamless user experience
The Ethereum Interop Layer enables seamless cross-chain transactions by letting users sign once for actions across rollups, without new trust assumptions. Built on ERC-4337, it ensures self-custody, censorship resistance, and verifiable execution, unifying Ethereum’s fragmented L2 ecosystem securely.
At DevConnect Buenos Aires, the details of EIL @ethinteroplayer - Ethereum Interoperability Layer were unveiled.
