LambdaClass published a blog post exploring Whirlaway: Multilinear STARKs using WHIR as polynomial commitment scheme

This post provides details about Whirlaway, which enables efficient aggregation of post-quantum secure signatures, as well as WHIR, including how to use it to prove the execution of a virtual machine as described by means of an Algebraic Intermediate Representation (AIR).

Starknet becomes the first Rollup to transition from a centralized architecture to a decentralized one

Starknet’s new version, ‘Grinta’ (formerly v0.14.0), advances decentralization by introducing three independent sequencers running in consensus. It also brings key user features like subsecond pre-confirmations, a mempool, a fee market, and standardized paymaster integration.

Metrics include Real GDP, PCE Price Index, and Real Final Sales. Available on ten blockchains, this enables new use cases like automated trading, tokenized assets, prediction markets, and DeFi risk management.

The OpenVM team announced GPU Proving for OpenVM

OpenVM v1.4.0 features a new GPU prover and multi-GPU orchestration for fast, parallel proving. It can verify Ethereum mainnet blocks in 15s on GPU at under $0.0003 per transaction—5x faster than v1.0.0.

The Holešky testnet will shut down two weeks after the Fusaka upgrade finalizes

Launched in 2023 as Ethereum's largest public testnet, it has now reached its planned end-of-life. Users should migrate to Hoodi for validator and staking provider testing, or to Sepolia for app and tooling development.
