Boundless' RISC Zero introduces Proof of Verifiable Work (PoVW), which uses ZKPs to reduce blockchain energy waste by moving execution off-chain while maintaining verifiability—offering an alternative to PoW and PoS.
The earliest form of blockchain consensus was Proof of Work (PoW), then came Proof of Stake (PoS) and staking with validators.
