ZK Arcade: Now Live On Mainnet

ZK Arcade is a new platform for our community to test and experience our tech and is a demonstration of how to build apps on top of Aligned.

We are excited about the new use cases on Ethereum opened up by our ZK Verification Layer and we built ZK Arcade to show what's possible in a fun and interactive way.

Today, we are happy to announce that ZK Arcade is now live on mainnet!

Over the past few weeks we have worked with many of our partners to distribute early access spots to our communities. If you are among the 700 lucky people to secure a spot you can now visit ZK Arcade to mint your Ticket NFT and start playing.

How does it work?

If you have a whitelist spot, you will be able to connect your wallet, mint the NFT, deposit a small amount of ETH to pay for verification, and play games.

After playing a game, you can generate a proof of your results and submit it to Aligned for verification.

Aligned verifies your proofs and posts the results to Ethereum, updating an onchain leaderboard with the best scores.

Players then can claim points for verifying scores and for completing challenges in a series of weekly rounds.

Minting your NFT is free, you only pay gas for the transaction. Note that you must deposit ETH into ZK Arcade to submit proofs for verification (recommended 0.001 ETH).

Two games to test your skills

There are two games you can play on ZK Arcade:

1. Parity, a puzzle game that runs in your browser. Proofs for successful completion are generated in-browser using Circom.
2. Beast, an action game that you must install and play in your terminal. Installing the game also installs the SP1 zkVM, which lets you generate proofs of your scores locally before uploading them to ZK Arcade for verification.

10 rounds of challenges to earn points

ZK Arcade is launching with 10 rounds of challenges where you will be able to play games, prove your results, verify your proofs, and claim points.

Rounds start on Mondays and Fridays. Each round will have new levels for Parity and new chances to complete levels in Beast. Remember to claim your points before each round ends!

Claiming points requires a transaction which will have gas fees. To save on gas, you can set a lower transaction priority fee in your wallet.

The first few rounds will be exclusively open to the lucky 700 first users who have early access to ZK Arcade starting today, and more opportunities to earn points.

I'm not whitelisted for early access—when can I start playing?!

We are launching today with a limited number of exclusive spots to reward early supporters, engaged community members, and to get feedback from a more focused group of users.

Over the next two weeks we will be sharing details of a much larger NFT collection to open up wide access to ZK Arcade. We will again be working with some of our partners to distribute these spots, so be sure to watch our social channels for news!

We also have a few unclaimed spots for early access which we will soon raffle off to the community before wider access becomes available.

Notes on support and security

Be sure to only access ZK Arcade through the official website (https://zkarcade.com/) and be wary of potential impersonators or phishing scams. Participation in ZK Arcade will not require you to verify your wallet in any Discord or Telegram apps or bots.

You can only mint the ZK Arcade Ticket NFT on the ZK Arcade website. The Ticket NFTs are NON-TRANSFERRABLE so you should be suspicious of anyone trying to sell you their NFT. The NFT is how we can keep track of your points and will be linked to the wallet you use to mint and play.
