Aligned & Sovra Partner to Power Digital Trust in Latin America
We’re excited to announce our strategic partnership with Sovra, equipping them with the infrastructure needed to power their Digital Identity Stack for governments, institutions, and citizens.
What Is Sovra?
Sovra enables institutions and individuals to issue, verify, and use digital identity credentials with sovereignty and privacy. Sovra’s technology is already live in Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia, providing over 8 million citizens with on‑chain credentials and access to digital public services.
In Aligned and Sovra’s home city of Buenos Aires alone, over 700,000 citizens are using the QuarkID Open Source protocol (co-created by Diego Fernandez, Sovra's CEO & Co-founder) to securely store and prove data from official government documents.
Sovra’s Digital Identity Stack includes several products that connect governments, institutions, and individuals:
- SovraGov: No-code platform for digitizing public services — build workflows, issue credentials, and upgrade government processes without writing smart contracts.
- SovraID: Standards-based engine for issuing and verifying digital IDs (DIDs), verifiable credentials, and ZK attestations across ecosystems.
- SovraWallet: Non-custodial wallet for user-owned identity that lets individuals prove their information without revealing private data.
- SovraChain: Validium built on Ethrex, the new Rust-based Ethereum execution client from LambdaClass. Designed for scalable, private, and composable digital identity verification on Ethereum, this L2 underlies the rest of Sovra’s Digital Identity Stack and the beta testnet already live.
Why Sovra Chose Aligned
Sovra is the first user of Aligned’s Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) platform which vertically integrates the Ethrex ZK rollup stack with our ZK verification layer to provide scalable and economical deployment of Ethereum L2s.
Further supporting their stack, our upcoming wallet-as-a-service product will power SovraWallet with scalable deployment and account abstraction, while our meta-proving service and interoperability protocol will further reduce costs for SovraChain and facilitate cross-chain integrations.

Ethrex is a new rust-based Ethereum execution client built by LambdaClass that can operate in L1 or L2 mode. Its design principles emphasize minimalism and simplicity, resulting in a codebase that is both fast and resilient. By collaborating with LambdaClass and leveraging Ethrex, we are able to deliver enterprise-grade ZK-rollups that utilize Ethereum’s security at scale.
Thanks to its vertical integration, all components of Ethrex work together seamlessly, reducing dependencies and making maintenance simpler. With Ethrex, we can offer performance, simplicity, and forward compatibility, ensuring that we stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving blockchain landscape.
