We’re proud to reflect on a transformative year for Aligned. Here's what we have achieved over the past year working to help a foundation for a scalable, trustless proof verification. Aligned accelerates Ethereum’s roadmap with zero-knowledge technology, enabling proof verification at just 10% of the cost.
$23.6M Raised
This year saw significant financial milestones, starting with a \$1M Pre-Seed round which was followed by a \$2.6M Seed round led by Lemniscap. We later announced a \$20M Series A round, led by Hack VC with backing from numerous top-tier investors and angels. These funds are fuelling innovation in ZK verification and trustless applications.
Technical milestones
3 Testnets, 35 Operators, 37.7M Proofs Verified. Our testnets on EigenLayer highlighted Aligned’s versatility across different proof systems. With over 459,000 testnet batches verified, we’ve shown the scalability of our ZK technology. The feedback from developers, operators, and users has refined our platform’s design and usability. The latest Holesky testnet continues to run with 35 operators.
1 Mainnet Beta, 90% Cost Savings
After 9 months of development, we launched our ZK verification layer on Ethereum Mainnet Beta. With 46 operators and 1.28M ETH restaked, Aligned’s mainnet beta delivers 10x the proofs at 90% less cost. Over 2,000 proofs have already been verified, paving the way for ZK adoption.
7 Audits
Aligned underwent seven security audits by leading firms, including Consensys and Trail of Bits. Their findings strengthened the reliability and performance of our platform. We are also currently hosting a \$100,000 audit competition on Cantina to further enhance our security standards.
Genesis Drop: 5 Waves, 26% Community Allocation
There were ~1 million eligible and ~200k total registered addresses across five waves of the Genesis Drop.
From ZK contributors to OG supporters and long-term believers in Mina, EigenLayer, Mina, EigenLayer, Zksync, Polygon, Scroll, and Taiko, this distribution recognized those who shaped our journey.
30 Partnerships, 5 Hackathons
Aligned’s ecosystem expanded to 30 partners, driving innovation across sectors. We organized five hackathons, distributing \$68,500 in prizes to over 250 developers. These events showcased Aligned’s capabilities, with projects built using our Proof Verification Layer.
20+ Talks
Our co-founders traveled the world, delivering over 20 talks from Argentina to Bangkok, sharing Aligned’s vision and progress.
0 MARKETING TEAM, MILLIONS OF VIEWS
Aligned reached over 1.5 million views on X (Twitter) during our genesis wave announcements and grew its audience to 82.2K followers by focusing on grassroots marketing and building our own community that believes in the future of ZK and the problems that Aligned will solve. Our Discord community also thrived, now hosting 63.2K members—all without playing the marketing games or insider shenanigans that have become unfortunately normalized in this industry.
2024 was just the beginning. From scaling proof systems to fostering community, Aligned has made significant strides in building a decentralized and ZK-powered future. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who trusted and believed in us, and look forward to continuing to build in 2025.
